This unique, stylish and truly unique garden is located in northwest London and belongs to a stunning and eclectic house. The clients brief was to create a garden that was tropical and lush, provided space fro children to play in addition to a more formal area. Taking clues from the owners taste and internal decor the concept was to divide the garden into 3 garden rooms. The first adjoins the house and includes a poured concrete patio that extends the internal floor into the garden. Old dwarf olives and more Mediterranean planting of a soft colour palette is used. An old indian kadai fire bowl is retro fitted into a water feature which combined with the planting creates a sense of calm and tranquility close to the house.
A bespoke daybed at the rear of the garden is covered by a black bamboo pergola supported by antique indian pillars.
The decking originates from Brighton Pier and a section lifts to reveal the children sandpit beneath.
The planting scheme transitions towards a more tropical palette with strong foliage and form and strays of brighter colour.
